About Studio Lagree
About
We are thrilled to deliver Toronto the evolution of fitness through the ultimate full-body workout created by Sebastien Lagree. The Lagree Method combines strength, core, cardio/circuit training and stretching into an intense, shirt-drenching 50-minute exercise experience. A new and improved workout construct with appeal to both men and women, the Lagree Fitness experience does not fail to challenge or to deliver on its reputation. Outfitted with the latest M3 Megaformer™ machines and marked by sleek modern decor, our studio spaces are an exciting place to experience The Lagree Method. Studio Lagree has been built on a foundation of consistency, which is evident in the look and feel of our studios, the manner in which they are run, the way staff are carefully selected and trained, our class structure and overall client experience.
Your First Class
Every move effectively combines core, endurance, cardio, balance, strength and flexibility training.
The Workout
The Lagree Fitness Method delivers results fast. The no-impact program features targeted exercises performed at a slow and controlled pace, activating slow twitch muscle fibres to build the long lean physique that has made this workout famous. The combination of working muscles to failure and eliminating rest periods creates workout regimen that burns the maximum number of calories in a minimal amount of time, and most efficiently develops muscle tone and strength. Best of all, the effective intensity can always be adapted, preventing clients from ever reaching a training plateau.
You can expect:
- the movements to be done slowly, in the famous Lagree 4-count, but the transitions between movements to be quick.
- The movements to be blocked based on body part. Meaning, core movements are blocked together, upper body movements together and left and right legs together- this allows for complete muscle exhaustion in that body part.
The Machine
The Megaformer™ provides a system of resistance and counter resistance that place muscles under constant tension and work them to failure point, a key to the method’s delivery of swift results. The Megaformer™ provides a dynamic platform for our instructors to continuously create new and unique workout experiences, constantly evolving and challenging our clients in new ways.
What To Bring
- A positive and open attitude. The Lagree Method can be challenging and humbling. We encourage you to listen to your body and your instructor.
- Grip Socks are MANDATORY for class. Where your feet go, your head and hands will follow. Wearing socks ensures the cleanest surfaces on the machine and floor. They aid in both sanitation and safety. If you forget yours, we have them at the front desk available for rent and for purchase.
- A water bottle which can be filled at one of our water dispensers.
- Comfortable clothing that allow your muscles to stretch and your skin to breathe.
- Strong perfumes should be avoided as some participants may be allergic.
When to Arrive
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled class start time. This will allow for an adequate orientation to the studio and ensure you are ready to get a Megaformer tutorial refresher (please be sure to watch the above video!).
- You should expect a challenging workout marked by shaky muscles and more sweat than you’d expect. You might also experience muscle soreness right away but more likely late onset muscle fatigue occurring between 24-72 hours after the workout. This is normal as you are working muscles that never get worked at all or not in this manner.

COVID-19 Policies and Procedures
Some policies below may be different due to COVID-19, CLICK HERE to read about our COVID-19 Policies and Procedures.
How can I purchase classes?
You may use the convenient online Live Schedule or purchase your sessions at the studio. To purchase online, log in to your account and access our live schedule to check class availability. We accept Visa and MasterCard.
How many classes should I take each week?
The workout is designed to bring your muscles to failure. Depending on your fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more or less time to recover in between classes. We recommend 2 – 3 classes per week to allow your body to properly recover and repair. Participants who become very “enthusiastic” with the workout can attend as many as 5 – 6 classes each week.
This is my first time. Should I take a group or private class?
Lagree Fitness does not require you to start with private sessions as all classes are designed for a group setting. As clients have their own machine in class, each exercise may be modified to suit their current fitness level. However, if you suffer from chronic back pain, painful joints or a severe medical condition, an initial private session is recommended in order to assess your fitness level.
What happens if I miss a class?
Due to the limited number of available spots in each class, our policy requires 12-hour advance notice for all cancellations. Cancellations occurring within 12-hours of the scheduled class time will not be credited back to the patron’s account.
What is your cancellation policy?
Classes must be cancelled with more than 12 hours notice. If you cancel with less than 12 hours until class time, you will be LATE CANCELLED and charged for the class. If your cancellation occurs at least 12 hours in advance, you will be CANCELLED but will retain that class credit.
What is your late policy?
In order to maintain the integrity and flow of our classes, and in consideration for others, please be on time for class. After the 5 minute grace period, your space may be given to someone on the waitlist. After this cutoff you will be late cancelled from the class. No exceptions. By showing up late you are coming into the class with the understanding that you may miss part of the workout. If you arrive late, it is your responsibility to follow along with the class as a second warm-up and explanation will NOT be provided. Please try to be as non-disruptive as you can when entering the room late.New clients MUST arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class and are NOT permitted into the room after the class has begun.
How do I book a class?
Class are booked online via our website. If you need assistance you can always call during studio hours. Booking over the phone/voicemail and/or email are NOT valid forms of booking. We cannot guarantee you will be added to a class if you book through one of these methods.
What does it mean if I have been added to the waitlist?
If a class is full you can still elect to be added to the waitlist in hopes of being added to the class should a space open up. Those who have been added to the waitlist will be notified by email, at least 12 hours in advance, if they are added to the class. Waitlisted clients who have NOT yet received notification that they have been added to the class on or before class start time, are welcome to drop in before class to see if a spot opens up but are not permitted on the machine until the 5 minute late period has passed. Once the 5 minute late period has passed, they are able to take the free machine and the person who did not show up will be LATE CANCELLED.
What is your return / exchange policy?
Items purchased are eligible for exchange only, 30 days from purchase, and only if original tags are in tact. No exchange on sale items. Clients can try on clothing in the change rooms only after they have notified the front desk and have provided the number of items to be tried on. Undergarments MUST be worn when trying on clothing. We can hold an item for a client for 24 HOURS ONLY
Is there somewhere I can put my personal items while at the studio?
We do offer secured locker service. Therefore, we ask that you do not bring large personal items into the studio. Please contact front desk if assistance with lockers is needed.
Are your class schedules always the same?
Schedules and instructors may change without notice. You will be notified of a class change to the class time and instructor only if you are already signed up for that class when the change takes place. Substituting instructor will be identifiable on the schedule at the time of the change, along with the original instructor. We do reserve the right to change instructors and classes without notice.

Any issues regarding a Class Pass booking has to be addressed directly with ClassPass as we have no authority or ability to make any changes.
I am pregnant, can I still come to class?
If you cannot attend our prenatal/postnatal classes, we recommend private training for both prenatal or postnatal clients. We WILL NOT permit a pregnant client into a regular Lagree class if she has taken less than 5 classes. For those who have attended at least 5 Lagree classes, become pregnant and want to continue, you must first consult your doctor and then notify us ahead of time so that we can notify the trainer. It is important that trainers have enough time to be able to offer safe modifications for you based on their planned routine.
