Teaching Background/Experience:
I took my first mat pilates class at a young age while cross training for ballet. I loved how it challenged my core and breathing technique. After my first Lagree class, I became (sore and then) obsessed with the Megaformer and how quickly it can strengthen and transform the body!
Kassandra began her love of movement at an early age, starting dance classes when she was 3 and her first yoga class at the age of 12. She continued her study of Dance, which included Pilates, Laban, and Feldenkrais Methods, during college where she received her BA in Theatre & Dance with a concentration in Movement from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2010, she completed her RYT-200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification and began teaching immediately. She became a certified Barre Instructor in Fall of 2012 at The Dailey Method Chicago. Additionally, Kassandra has focused her continuing education on Pre and Postnatal preparation and recovery through movement and smart exercise. In 2016, Kassandra discovered Studio Lagree and immediately fell in love with the efficient and focused workout and the results it provided. Kassandra is so grateful to be a part of the Lagree community and share her love of anatomy and movement at Studio Lagree Chicago! She invites her students to openly explore the infinite potential of their bodies ability to be balanced by the strength, stability, and endurance a consistent Lagree practice offers.
Why I love Lagree and what to expect in my class:
I love Lagree because it challenges both the mind and the body. It is my 50-minutes to slow my pace down while still getting a crazy intense workout. I love that every class offers a new opportunity to push yourself mentally and physically. In my class, you can expect a challenging and effective routine with both modifications and unique variations. Plus, a good playlist is always on the agenda!
